Here is a compound oscillator that I found in an Audels book.

It is the only compound oscillator I recall seeing, and it has an interesting reversing valve, which I am still figuring out.  Who wants to create a 3D model for this valve?

It is difficult to find the exact location for the steam inlet and exhaust on this engine, but they must be in the vincinity of the valve.
